Asphalt pavement paving process and construction precautions

Asphalt paving process:
1. All raw materials can be selected only after they meet the design requirements.
2. The impurities on the top surface of the base course shall be cleaned, garbage, soil, sand, mortar, concrete, etc. if necessary, the water truck and blower shall be used to wash or blow away the dust, which directly affects the waterproof function and service performance of the asphalt pavement. Closed water test will be required in some areas according to the regulations of the local geological Inspection Bureau.
3. For the distribution of prime coat oil, the distribution of each part is required to be in place. The next construction can be carried out only after the prime coat oil has sufficient penetration time.
4. During slurry seal paving, it is strictly prohibited to reduce the oil content of the seal, which will affect the waterproof performance of the pavement.

Precautions for asphalt pavement paving
1. The base course must be cleaned to ensure that the top surface of the base course is clean and there is no ponding before the prime coat oil construction can be started. Before paving the prime coat oil, pay attention to mark the cracking position of the base course.
2. For the distribution of prime coat oil, attention shall be paid to the kerb and other parts in direct contact with asphalt, so as to prevent water from penetrating into the subgrade, damaging the subgrade and causing pavement subsidence.
3. The thickness of slurry seal course shall be controlled during paving. It shall not be too thick or too thin. Too thick will make it difficult for asphalt to demulsify and cause certain quality problems.
4. Asphalt mixing: full time personnel must be assigned for asphalt mixing to control the exit temperature, ratio and asphalt aggregate ratio of the asphalt station.
5. Asphalt transportation: the carriage of transportation vehicles must be painted with anti binder or isolating agent, and covered with tarpaulin to achieve the function of asphalt insulation. At the same time, the required vehicles shall be comprehensively calculated according to the distance from the asphalt station to the paving site, so as to ensure the continuous operation of asphalt paving.
6. Asphalt paving: before asphalt paving, the paver shall be preheated 0.5-1 hour in advance, and the paving can be started when the temperature is above 100 ℃. The paving shall be started only after the setting out work, paver driver, paver computer board special personnel and 3-5 trucks are in place. During the paving process, the area where the mechanical paving is not in place shall be supplemented in time, and throwing is strictly prohibited.
7. Asphalt compaction: steel wheel roller and tire roller can be used for ordinary asphalt concrete compaction. The initial compaction temperature shall not be lower than 135 ℃ and the final compaction temperature shall not be lower than 70 ℃; The modified asphalt shall not be rolled by tire roller. The initial rolling temperature shall not be lower than 150 ℃ and the final rolling temperature shall not be lower than 90 ℃. Where large rollers cannot reach, small rollers or compactors can be used for compaction.
8. Asphalt curing or traffic opening:
After asphalt paving, in principle, the traffic can be opened after 24 hours of maintenance. If it is really necessary to open the traffic in advance, the method of watering and cooling can be adopted, and the traffic can be opened only when the temperature drops below 50 ℃.
